Pampering Mom

It's been nice to have my mom
Stay with me for the past several weeks
We've watched a lot of the Olympics
And had a few nice dinners
As well as a bit of fun

But today I was able to pamper her just a bit

I prepped her for a haircut

We were going to go short
But she decided she only wanted a trim

Once finished cutting
I prepped her for a little color freshening

What do you think?
Do you like her new look?

I went ahead and had it washed out
And then blew it dry

Now what do you think?
I think I did a nice job
If I do say so myself

Another thing that took place while mom has been staying with me
Is she had a bit of facial surgery

I'm not sure if you can tell
But in the above photo taken at Christmas
Mom had 2 large facial tumors on her right cheek

She still has a bit of swelling
But the tumors are GONE
And I think the scars will be almost non-existent

She has recovered very nicely in just under 2 weeks
No make up yet
But YAY for nearly 78

What did you do with your Saturday?

  1. I love the color of your Mom's hair and I think she's a lovely lady. I'm glad she's recovering nicely from her surgery.

It's good that you two have had this time together.

Love and hugs to the both of you ~ FlowerLady

  2. So glad your Mom is recovering well. I'm sure you really made her day with the haircut and color. She has a sweet daughter.

  3. Love this! Any time we can spend with our mothers is a time of blessing (or at least it should be). My mom will be having her 79th bday in a few weeks. I'll head north to celebrate with her, pamper her too. Although, I don't think my touching her hair is in the cards! Great job, by the way.

  4. Hi Cindy, so glad you found my blog so I could find yours! That is wonderful that your Mom had the surgery and she is looking great! What caused the tumors? So glad they could be removed, she must feel so much better now.

  5. How special that you can spend time with your mom! Her hair turned out gorgeous! Great job :)

Hi Friend, I read and cherish every single comment you leave! You bring Joy to my heart! Blessings, Cindy
