Hi Sweet Friends

I'm so glad you stopped by today

I have struggled to get my blogging MoJo back

But I thought I'd share a few photos

From a fun weekend I enjoyed at end of August

For the past few years

One of our nurse practitioners has invited the staff

Up to her family cabin north of Phoenix

Where the air is clear and cooler

Often there are about 10 of us that go up

However, this year there were 4 of us

We decided to do something different

We took supplies and painted!!

The Cabin (or Lodge) is huge and the kitchen counter

Was the perfect place to set up shop

Canvas, Easels, brushes, and Paint

We set out to just have some fun

A couple of us used photos/books to inspire

A couple of us used imagination

ALL of us created and had a Blast

Thanks to the Lodge Host

We ate incredibly delicious 

Homemade, glutton free pizza - Yummers!!!

My Little Artists

Thursday's at Nana's House

Are Just TOO much Fun!!

Although I miss my K-Bug so much

(back to school)

It is still such a joy

To spend these days with my little's

We decided to make today 

A Paint Day

 

I gave the girl's rectangular paper bowls

 

They just started pouring in the paint

 

And voila

We had messy all over

Couldn't have been more fun :)

One of the beautiful things about being a Nana

Is that you Never sweat the small stuff

Enjoy the Moments

And allow them to be Kiddos!!!

A Taste of Tuscan

As I began my weekend

I had intended to start and finish

A big Project that has been on my 

To Do list for several months

Saturday, I worked at it all day

By evening my arm and legs

Were painfully sore

However, I still intended to complete the project Sunday

Enter a phone call...

I went to Brush Party instead

Brush Party is one of those fun places to go

When you just want to get away

They take you from start to finish

Painting your own canvas

Today's class was

A Taste of Tuscan

It was also in the Art District

Where there was an art walk happening

So we ended up having a 'guest' fly in

Beautiful Bird

Anyway 

This is my friend and I 

After a 3 hour class

It was a great time

And a fun afternoon of laughter and relaxation

I may not be an artist

But I sure do enjoy pretending for a while

I hope to complete the 'other'
