The Olympics are Over

Hi Sweet Friends

Wow, it has been a while since I blogged

I attribute that to a few things

1. The heat of summer has gotten to me

2. I'm still struggling with anemia

3. The Olympics has been going and I have been addicted to watching every moment of inspiration that I can. What a joy to root for each and every person who worked so hard to achieve their dream. True commitment and Work Ethic - LOVE

Since I am back on the ol blog

I thought I'd share a fun and crazy fast 60 hour trip

One of my besties and I got in my car and drove West

All because I wanted to do this:

YEP

Put my feet in the Sand

AND

Meet my blog friend Carol from ArtAndSand

And see her cute 'she shed'

Meet her hubby and of course Lulu

I

Sit by the fire and enjoy a delicious meal

Take photos of the ocean crashing against the jetty

See some really cool things along the shore

As well as a few 'oddities'

I should have brought this rock home - too funny

Enjoy a beautiful sunset

Be Rebellious

Do something the sign says NOT to do

Because I could

Put my feet IN the water

And eat things that should be illegal to eat

Sea Glass and A *Winner*

Hello Sweet Friends

I hope you have enjoyed a Beautiful Weekend

And all the Blessing of Family and Friends

I mentioned last month that I was on the hunt

For Sea Glass

I had received a piece from a friend of a friend

Who lives on The Islands

And sent a special little piece of sea glass to me

It started my little obsession with sea glass

I guess because it reminds me so much

Of my childhood, living so close to the beach

I had a couple of blog friends

Who said they would send me pieces of sea glass

Friday I received a Very Special Package from

Valery Anne in Hampshire England

Valery Anne and I shared a few emails

She said she had many pieces of sea glass

And she wanted to share a few with me

Oh My

Was I surprised when this beautifully

Hand Created Box came filled with

Gorgeous pieces of sea glass and a few miniature shells

Not only did Valery Anne Bless me

With a wonderful assortment of Sea Glass

She also made the adorable box to keep it safe

While being shipped across the pond

And Butterfly Challenge

She is very creative and talented

I am So Very Grateful for the Blessing of this

Beautiful Assortment of Sea Glass and Shells

They will be kept on display in my Beachy Office

It seems I am spending too much time

My friend Melanie Dorsey 

Is such a creative person

She started painting, drawing, making cards etc

Which lead to her creating with fabric and items of interest

In recent days she has begun creating 

Tattered Tessie's

And I am so happy to say

I am the Proud owner of several of her works of art

But also one of her first Tattered Tessie's

 

She arrived today

She will spend her new life 

In my Beachy office

She fits in perfectly

She's already stolen my heart

And found a permanent home

Life is Always Full

Hi Friends,

After an entire week of 

Loving and Giving

I woke up this morning with a bit of a migraine

I think I was dehydrated

But, I have so much more on my list

That I just needed to get to work

I have a project I've been wanting to work on for about 2 years

So, I decided today was the day to Start

It's going to take a Loooonggg time

It has to do with paint

Blue paint to start with

 

And these tools

 

I'm not an artist or a painter

I'm just a girl who Loves the beach

And since I have a pool

I had this crazy idea to paint a beachy mural

On the wall behind my pool

 

I wish I knew someone who has a paint sprayer 

That I could borrow

But, Alas, I don't

SO, I am painting the back wall by hand

 

 And yes!

It's a big wall

MUCH more painting to be done

I could only muster 6 hours worth today

My body is tired

And my hands, back and shoulders feel 

Like they are going to fall off

Next weekend I'll finish the base painting

I hope

And then I'll start the mural

In the mean time

Matthew has a friend coming over tomorrow

And will be staying all week

I have to work too

So, I best get my house in order

And try to get a little rest

I've got mural planning to do........
