I Think This Is Just How It Will Be

Hi Friends,

I keep thinking I am going to get a project done to share
But quite frankly
Because of THIS:

I just don't think I have enough energy
To accomplish one project

So, this summer (Thursdays)
Will be spent with These:

Sweet And Precious Girlies
Hanging out Here:

Yes!
It really IS all I can imagine doing when it is 115 outside
And Yes!
We have umbrellas IN the pool
To help keep up cool

So,
Although I am going to continue to come visit
All of your Beautiful blogs
And see all of your wonderful projects
I will be sharing photos
Of my back yard Paradise

Well, at least that is 1 project I DID
Complete before the real heat hit

May your days be blessed
May you see JOY in the simple things of life

May you pray for our country
And the families of those affected by last nights horror!

My Heart Aches for Them!!

Almost Ready for Summer

Hi Friends

I'm working on getting ready for summer
Which will be in full swing
Starting Memorial Day Weekend
That's when I will host my first Pool Party/BBQ

And I'm also preparing to Reveal my back yard mural

The first major thing I needed to do
Was to clean all the pool cartridges/baskets/salt cells

Here's is where I started when I got home from work today

I took everything apart
You can see those large cartridges in the back
Gross!
I usually replace them every couple of years
Today was the day

Awe
Now That's Much Better
The cartridges (8 of them)
Are rather pricey so I clean them every 3 months
But I have to admit
I had not done it since last summer
So - Replacement was a Necessity
Can't let them go like that.....

Evidently my pool box got left open
And rain water filled the tool bucket
Yep - looks like I need to replace all my pool tools as well
 $$$
Shesh.........

Anyway
She's all clean and ready for summer swimming now
I'll spare you the bloody details of what
Lifting the top of the filter does to your hands

Wall Reveal in 2 Weeks
 I HOPE!!!

Thanks for joining me on today's
After Work Project

BTW:
Getting Muriatic Acid on a paper cut
HURTS
The End...

Carol Update and A Winner

Hi Friends,

I have a quick update on my blog friend Carol
She received her new liver on Friday
It was a very long day for both she and her nephew
As well as for surgeons and family

As of today
Carol and Brian are both doing well
Brian has been up walking around and
Getting ready to head home soon

Carol's recover will be a bit slower
But she has been up and is on a diet of clear liquids
Including clear booster protein drinks

She's a trooper and I'm sure she will
Bounce back soon and be healthier
Thank she has been in 14 years
Praising God

Next,
I believe I have finished the mural wall in my back yard
No peeking because my pool is filthy
So, you'll have to wait
Until I have time to clean it
And...I just might need to do a bit or touching up
Over the next week or so
But, I'm putting all of my paints and tools Away
It's been a fun challenge

Just Remember
When I do the reveal
I AM NOT AN ARTIST
Just a girl willing to play

Finally
I had my son pick a name from the hat
For my 700th post giveaway

The winner is:

Rose

Congratulations!

Thank you everybody for you kind comments
For loving me through life
And for words of encouragement
They mean so much to me

Blessings for a Beautiful Week Ahead

A Quick Project

Hi Friends,

This morning I was working on the mural
In my backyard
But the temperature reaching 95 today
Caused me to put my brushes away
And choose a more simple project
For the afternoon

Many of you know that I am
On the Nutrisystem program
So I always have piles of food stashed in crazy places

I found this 5 drawer rack at Hobby Lobby yesterday
But it was black so it needed a quick coat of spray paint

I worked out in the front driveway
Where there was a bit of shade
And turned the above into the below

I didn't really care if there were a few drips
As I sanded it when it was dry
I just knew I wanted white and not black in my kitchen

It came with red wire baskets
So they slid right back in
It only took about 20 minutes
And Viola

I know have a cute little place to keep my food
I'm sure that once I reach my weight loss goal
I will be able to use this little pretty
In my craft room/office

So, there you have it
A super quick project Complete

Here's a sneak peek of my mural

Yep, that is just a tiny peek
Hoping to have it complete next weekend :)

Today's JOY
Found in little projects

Where are you finding your JOY today?

Downsizing Update Week {20}

Hi Friends,

I'm here during American Heart Month
To bring you my {20} week
Downsizing Update

Here's what the numbers tell me today

Down - 46 pounds with 39 to go
Down - A total of 28 inches - Hard to believe
Also down a couple of dress/pant sizes

But more importantly
And the reason I agreed to add the information below
Is because my health is SO much better

I used to become short of breath often
I had heart palpitations in the evenings/at night
My cholesterol was 254
I was pre-diabetic
And, in general, I didn't feel well

In September at my regular well woman check up
Mr doctor 'gave me the what for'
And told me I needed to make changes
Or I would end up with many health issues
Related to my being obese

Today, {20} weeks into making daily changes
I feel so much better
My cholesterol is down into the normal range
I'm not longer have any heart related symptoms
No nighttime indigestion or reflux

My BMI when from 36.9 to 30.6
Still in the obese range but certainly a lot
Closer to overweight than before
And soon to be in the normal range

Although this is Not a paid sponsorship or advertisement
I wanted to add the following Heart Healthy Tips
From the American Recall Center

Do something Healthy for your Heart Today

And now,
The final sneak peek at my back yard mural
The base coats are about complete
I won't be adding anymore sneak peeks
Until I complete the wall

Maybe....

Blessings To All
