Faces I Miss

Well the weather has taken a turn for the better and my mood has finally caught up.

I sure dislike gloomy days! They make me feel so awful.

Tonight I thought I'd share just a few of the faces that I miss.

It is true that our lives were not perfect
but Mark had a quirky way of making us laugh

Sometimes it was in the sweet way he looked at his grandchildren
And sometimes it was in the way
he facially addressed my silliness

He loved our annual Christmas Eve Guys Birthday Parties
Some may not have always enjoyed them
Yet Mark made enough fun memories for everybody
Do you see that bread stick hanging out of his mouth?

And then there was just the way he always put up with
"ME"

I love Fun
And He Just Had to adjust!!!!

Tonight
I'm just Considering a Few of Mark's Faces
With Joy,
Cindy

  2. I "mistakenly" came to your blog while looking for a friend's blog named a similar name. However, after taking the time to read of your loss, I feel that it wasn't a mistake. God never acts coincidentally, I like to think it's God acting anonymously! A good friend just lost her husband tonight and I am grieving with her. Your blog touched my heart in a deep way. Your faith is inspiring, your grief sincere, and your words powerful! Blessings and comfort to you during this time of grieving. I do hope you are availing yourself of grief counseling. Journaling your grief thru this blog is very healing as well. I believe you are going to be OK. I have another friend who lost her husband to cancer within the past 2 years and although she is a strong Christian, she is having difficulty with her grief. Her husband and son fought cancer together and the husband/father died recently. She is now dealing with the cancer of her teenage son. I'm going to give her your blog and perhaps you and she can lift one another up as sisters in Christ. her blog is http://calmintheeyeofthestorm.blogspot.com

Oh Cindy...my heart grieves for you...in 1999 my husband of 28 years passed into Heaven after a battle with cancer...I didn't blog in those days but I filled a 3 inch binder with agony and hope and called it "Treasures of Darkness" from Isaiah 45:3...prayers for you in these raw days of pain...email me anytime

  7. I'm so glad you're sharing things like this at your blog. It helps me know your husband better, helps me know how to pray, and I know it has to help you to be able to share it.
