Frustrated Photographer

Hi Friends

I have so many photos to share with you

However,

My camera is causing my grief

All of a sudden every time I try to download photos

I just get a busy signal on my camera

I've tried 2 different computers

One uses XP the other 8.1

I've put a new battery in my camera

I've turned it off and on several times

I've tried two separate SD cards

I've rebooted both computers

I purchased a new cable (just in case it was bad)

I'm now SO FRUSTRATED

Not sure what to do??????

I've heard someone talk about using a card reader????

Not sure what that is or how to use it

I've always downloaded straight from my camera

Any other suggestions???

Thank you in Advance

So tonight you get an oldie

  2. THE CARD IS IN THE CAMERA AND WHAT HOLDS ALL THE PHOTOS. YOU CAN TAKE IT IN AND OUT. YOU CAN POP INTO COMPUTER TO DOWNLOAD DIRECTLY FROM IT. GOOD ADVICE--TAKE YOUR CAMERA, ITS PLUG, AND LAPTOP TO A COMPUTER STORE AND ONE OF THE NERDS WOULD BE HAPPY TO HELP.
DO YOU HAVE YOUR CAMERA TURNED ON WHEN YOU USE CORD TO DOWNLOAD? IT HAS TO BE ON.
I WISH I WERE ABLE TO BE THERE TO HELP.

  3. I have a card reader that I put the card in then plug it into a port in the front of my computer. On my lap top I just plus the card into the little slot/reader in the side just for the card. I don't think I've downloaded from my camera, the card reader has been great!

Love and hugs to you dear Cindy. Love that photo of you and hubby and grandkids.

  4. Hi Cindy, I can only add what the others have said. I load my pics both ways. Either from the camera or take the card out and place in a reader which is a jump stick, place in computer port the same spot you had you camera plugged into. Not sure why yours is not reading the card. I'm sorry to not be much help. Rose had a good idea to take it to a camera guy.
Hope all works out. Have a nice weekend sweet friend!

  5. Oh, dear, how frustrating! I've never had that happen. I have a built-in reader in my Mac. I agree that you should take it to a computer store. They might send you to a camera store if they determine it's not your computer. Good luck!

That is such a precious photo, Cindy. Who are the girls?

  7. Cindy, When it comes to my camera and the computer that is when I can go nuts. I have things right now popping up on screen when I want to make a new post and I click around it. Because no matter how many different ways I try it will not be deleted. I wish you luck honey. Some time s teens can help . xoxo,Susie
