Play Days

Happy Saturday Friends

Today I'm SO thankful to be feeling Great

I had the JOY of playing with
My 3 K's for several hours today

My little K-Bel
Wanted to help in the yard
She got the rake and actually got up a lot of the weeds

She would drag the rake around the yard
And then put all the grass and weeds in the trash
She seemed to be having so much fun

All of the girls enjoyed time in the play house
And since they wanted to stay outside

I made them lunch

And they had a mini picnic

Putting this playhouse together last year
Was definitely a HIT
And I'm so glad I did it

After the girls went home
I completed some yard work in the front of the house
Then I decided I wanted to continue playing
I got out a canvas that I purchased for a specific project
Got a few paint colors ready
And played

I'll share the finished project in the days ahead

Did you play today?
Do share...because...

I hope you never grow too old to have
Play Days

  1. Hi Cindy. Darling girls. What fun. Is that something in your home (your header pic). So pretty and I love how the phrase is put on the wood..Am looking forward to your finished project and think I will start my St. Patrick's mantle. I'm tired of waiting for winter so guess I'll welcome spring..Happy Weekend..Judy

  2. Hi Cindy,
Happy Saturday. So happy you had the K's and how sweet the picnic lunch. Too cute. We had Abby overnight and today and we played games and Abby taught us how to dance. So fun when our grands are with us.
Does my heart good. I know it makes your heart smile to the the K's with you. Have a great week end. So happy you are feeling better.

  3. I am trying to catch up with blogs.

How fun to have granddaughters and to have them close enough to play with them.

I love your header. That is one of my favorite songs.

  4. I LOVE to play with the grandkids. It keeps me young, I think? I love to see things through "their eyes" more than anything. xo Diana

  5. That little play house you created is really so cute, Cindy, and it sure looks like those Little K's have a great time in there. Kiddos are so much fun when they actually think "chores" are fun to do......too bad they figure it out all too soon!

We kind of played yesterday -- went to the Home Show at the Cardinals' stadium. Wow, was that place ever crowded! The vendors were very aggressive in hawking their goods, and there were several that you would not want them to know where you live......very creepy! All in all, it was a good way to get some exercise and pick up a few brochures & ideas. I think we're good now for a couple of years on attending Home Shows!

  6. What a good little helper. I like that they picnicked outside. It is fun to play even if we are not kids. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. Hi Cindy, I was looking at old blog posts and came across one that you said you had just found me. I should have started following you back then! I will now! It looks like you and the girls had a GREAT day! They are all very cute. I wish we could get outside, soon I hope! We still have snow on the ground but it is melting. Have a great week!!! Pinky

  8. Fun times...especially when the weather cooperates so nicely!

  9. That looks like a lot of fun. Eating in the playhouse probably was a treat for the girls!

  10. Hi Cindy, Oh your grands are so cute and what a wonderful day spent having fun outside. Glad you took time to play with your paints too.
    Hugs and Blessings, CM

  11. Happy Tuesday Cindy, Sorry I'm so late reading this. I loved seeing your girls having such a good time; I was in the mountains with our entire family the whole weekend, so played and laughed a lot.
Can't wait to see your painting.
    Have a blessed day!
    Hugs, Noreen

  12. Cindy, I agree; never too old to have play days! Your grands are so cute. I had 5 of mine over yesterday. They ranged from age 5 to age 16. All came to help in the garden with Spring clean up. One had texted me and wanted to know if there was anything she could do for me to earn some money. From there it spiraled and ended up with lots of help. lol! It was a fun day. We worked for 2 hours and then went and got pizza and ate it at a park. Can't wait to see your art project.

Hi Friend, I read and cherish every single comment you leave! You bring Joy to my heart! Blessings, Cindy
