Monday's Question!

A few weeks ago I began posting a 'question of the week'. I have been very encouraged by the dialogue we have had due to those questions. I have always wanted my blog to be more than just me telling you about my family or things I do.

I have decided to add a regular post to my blog entitled "Monday's Question". These questions will be posted to make us think about God, life and why we do what we do. Sometimes they may have to do with Sunday's sermon or just a question I am trying to work through myself. If you have questions you'd like to share, please feel free to email me and I may post your "Monday's Question". I will not be asking Political questions!

Here is today's Question(s):

Do you believe that God has one perfect plan for our lives?

Do you ever wonder if you chose His plan or if you made a mistake and missed it?

I look forward to you answers and questions!

If anybody is a great tech-o kind of person, maybe we can make a Monday's Questions button!

Considering Questions Joyful,
Cindy

  1. Cindy, what great questions! I will give you my two cents (probably all it's really worth)

I believe God has His perfect will for my life and His permissive will. His perfect plan would never have included most of the choices I made, however, He allowed it.

He can make all things good, even my wandering. I certainly did not choose His plan. Did I make a mistake? Sure, BUT, He is redeeming my life and in the end His plan will prevail.

How is that for talking in circles??

  2. Ciny - I do indeed think that GOd has a perfect plan for our lives, but I also think it is possible that when we don't go exactly the way her ordained, that he can make another plan for us. A plan that will work out, just maybe not the richest blessings he intended for us.

  3. Yes, I do believe it. I wish I would have been raised in church so that I may have followed God at a earlier age and perhaps followed his perfect plan. Now I pray that I follow what his has planned for me from this point in my life. Thanks for the question!

  4. I do think God always has the "perfect plan" but we often get off the narrow road. That's where God's grace comes into full circle. His plans are always perfect even when they don't make sense to us. (Or so I keep telling myself!)

    Great thoughts!

  6. I think God's perfect plan for us is to simply to obey His word. Usually when we get off track it is because we disobeyed something He meant for our protection. I do believe that when we repent of those wrong choices He does turn our mistakes into something good and that gets us back on track with His plan for our lives. I don't know that God has just one plan "A" for each life because if He did, then we wouldn't have free will to make choices. I could go a lot of different directions with all this but I won't this time! lol!

  7. WOW - girl you are making me think. ;) Yes, I think God has the ultimate plan. I know I've messed mine up and I've detoured along His path to my plan. However, I do think that He puts up detour signs all along the journey to get us back to His will and His call. His plan will succeed with or without me - I'm just longing for it to be with me!

  8. Great questions! And great answers and dialogue going on here!

I am thankful for a God who does such amazing and beautiful 'clean-up' work of my choices when I get outside of His perfect will for me. I know He is so amazing and awesome that He doesn't waste those choices...He uses them to bring glory and honor to His kingdom...woo-hoo! I am not sharing a license to make the mistakes...just bragging about a God who doesn't waste an opportunity to be BIG!
