Life is Always Full

Hi Friends,

After an entire week of
Loving and Giving
I woke up this morning with a bit of a migraine
I think I was dehydrated
But, I have so much more on my list
That I just needed to get to work

I have a project I've been wanting to work on for about 2 years
So, I decided today was the day to Start
It's going to take a Loooonggg time

It has to do with paint
Blue paint to start with

And these tools

I'm not an artist or a painter
I'm just a girl who Loves the beach
And since I have a pool
I had this crazy idea to paint a beachy mural
On the wall behind my pool

I wish I knew someone who has a paint sprayer
That I could borrow
But, Alas, I don't
SO, I am painting the back wall by hand
 And yes!
It's a big wall

MUCH more painting to be done
I could only muster 6 hours worth today
My body is tired
And my hands, back and shoulders feel
Like they are going to fall off

Next weekend I'll finish the base painting
I hope

And then I'll start the mural

In the mean time
Matthew has a friend coming over tomorrow
And will be staying all week
I have to work too
So, I best get my house in order
And try to get a little rest

I've got mural planning to do........

Have a super Blessed Week!

  1. What fun! Looking forward to seeing the result!

  2. The experience is fulfilling! I had painted life-size Joan Walsh Anglund children book characters on my sons bedroom walls when he was born. They were cute but-oh-what a job!
Then on a shed in our backyard of the old house I thought it was not what the neighbors would like staring at so I painted a garden mural on it and vines wrapping around three sides.

  3. Wow, that is a big project, Cindy! I've seen a couple of backyard wall murals, and they really are pretty. I hope you can get it finished before it starts getting hot.

  4. Hi there, What an ambitious project! I know your grand will love it. When I was growing up, my parents had a pool and my sister painted the side of the garage-that faced the pool with different spanish colors(funny since we weren't spanish). It was pretty cool back then.
Thanks for all your prayers-today I'm pretty sore, but hopefully each day will get better.

  5. I know it is crazy work now, but you will love it when it is finished!

  6. It sounds like an amazing project, but oh what a job painting that wall! xoxo

  7. Hi Cindy,
The wall is going to be beautiful. I cannot wait to see the mural you write.

  8. Cindy, I admire your fortitude, but think this is a fantastic project and idea. I can't wait to see what the mural looks like and the color of blue is really pretty..Happy Wednesday..Judy

  9. Wow, Cindy, that is quite the project and I look forward to watching the progress.

    Have fun ~ FlowerLady
