Full Hearts

Hi Sweet Friends

It's been a busy season around here
Having Madi home has been good
But challenging as well

Trying to balance medications and moods
Lots of restless and sleep deprived nights

But, my heart is full
And I'm thankful for all that my Lord
Is teaching me during this time

Last week I ordered a sweet heart
From Stephanie's Etsy shop
It arrived and is making it's debut in my LR

It's hanging on one side of my entertainment center
I love looking at it

On the other side of the entertainment center
I hung some smaller hearts
That I handmade last year
I just added them to ribbon so I could hang them this year

I love little plant sticks
And have had these two for years
I love hearts so these get two votes for loving
I just added them to a vintage glass bottle
And used red/white candy to hold them

Candy is a fun way to decorate, I say
You get to have a snack now and again
AND, you don't have to find a place to store it
Win...Win

A small heart wreath on the front door
Just a sweet little welcome
I love the two little birds
But just realized that they are facing away from each other
Hmmm...need to change that tomorrow :)

My Heart was FILLED the other day
When I had unexpected guests
They were only in Phoenix for 30 minutes
But my friends from Texas stopped by
On their way to CA
Madi wasn't sure about the 'camera' being used
But at least I got a great photo of my friends

Although we only had a few minutes to share
My Heart was Filled with Love and Joy
For these moments
Thank you Bill and Susan for the HUGS!!!

Susan told me that everybody needs
At least one 20 second hug a day to stay healthy
Well, I don't often get any hugs
LOVED that I got several on Saturday!!!

Another unexpected 'hug' came in the mail today
My blog friend 'DEB' surprised me with
A sweet package filled with Valentine JOY

Thank You Deb
I felt that hug as well

So, I have a full heart
A heart full of Love
And JOY

And, although I didn't take a photo
I made myself a cake last night
(Haven't made a cake in ages)
Now, I'm going to have myself a piece

May you have a blessed weekend ahead

  1. Sweet friend, what a lovely post with your wonderful hearts. Your home must look so pretty for Valentine's Day. I must confess that I have not done much this year....I have some hearts hanging in my craft room, but that is all.

Deb is such a sweetie and the goodies she sent you are darling :) Enjoy the upcoming weekend, dear Cindy. Hugs!

  5. You are all ready for a sweet Valentines day! Thanks for the reminder of how important a hug can be. I have just read of your new life challenges. It is so hard to watch your children have struggles. You have a beautiful attitude that will bless you both. And I am so impressed with your plumbing! Thanks so much for your visit and comment!

  9. I'm sending a hug your way. Although nothing like the real thing. My daughter is not a hugger but my son is. My grandchildren are so I get them from them. I'm so glad you got to enjoy friends. The word that kept coming to mind as I was praying for you the other day was "Grace." You are a treasure.

  10. I like all your heart shapes. Speaking of hug, there's one on my post today for you. I thought today as I was making my post, while closing, I like to encourage others...I know that there are days when everyone could use a warm hug. I guess you need one. I had many days of of long working hours when I saw no one other than co-workers..there were no hugs for me. Your friend is right..human touch is needed. Hug your girl for me. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  12. What a festive Valentine's grouping you have-so much fun!
Today, I had two granddaughters over and had special cookies for them as well as we did a craft too. It is so fun to have littles around to celebrate with. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. God Bless!

  13. You have some very sweet Valentine decorations, Cindy! I'm so glad you had a few minutes with your friends. I'm thinking these must be the ones you went to see last year. It's such a blessing to have friends who just love you for who you are and never judge.

Good blessings to you, Cindy, on this beautiful Saturday. I continue to pray for you and Madi.

    Warm hugs,
    Carol
