Photo Shoot

It's possible I had a bit of a let down
After the Holiday season
I worked so hard at being okay during the season
That the blues kind of took over after it was all over

I've spent the past 43 hours in bed sick
But was able to get up, shower and go do a photo shoot
For my sister and her family

Now, after 4 hours of being up
I'm in my jammies and ready to hit the bed again
Need to rest up for the work week

Anyway,
I was so happy to be able to get outside
And enjoy this beautiful fall like weather

My sister and her hubby have been married for 38 years
They have twin boys and a daughter
All of whom are married
They also have 6 grandchildren
And, they are all in town this week

So...
I promised I'd do a photo shoot
All of these photos are straight out of the camera
With no editing
But I wanted to blog a bit
So you get to see the SOOC shots

I just love these kiddos so much

Even though they only see each other once a year or so
They love each other and get along so well

Can't believe we got E up the tree

These kiddos are from the east coast
Sure do miss them
And so happy to see them this week

Praying they enjoy many memory making moments
While they are together this week

Sure did have fun
Now, back to bed

Blessings to all!

  1. Hi Cindy,
What a beautiful family. How great to take this family photo for your sister. Just beautiful. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I have had a sinus thing all week myself and just today feel like coming out of my jammies.
Hope you have a good start to the new week.

  2. Dear Cindy ~ I sure hope you feel better soon. The holidays in our situation do take a lot out of us.

This is a new year and we ARE going to do better with Jesus as our strength.

What a great looking bunch and I think your photos came out wonderful.

Be well and have a great week ~ FlowerLady

  3. You must have a great camera. The pictures are really nice and so clear. That little guy with the curly hair looks like our grandson used to look. I just loved his hair. He's five now and it isn't as curly, at least in Colorado. When he comes to Ohio it gets curly.
What a great sister you are doing the shoot when you were ill.
My daughter had strep when she picked me up from the airport at Christmas. I had a sore throat the whole week I was there. When I got home I went to Urgent Care. That was on the 30th. I am just starting to feel better. I slept a lot. I actually wondered if I had mono.
I hope you can get some rest. Feel better.

  6. I love getting people posed for photos as when you do not see them so often, the photos become treasured.

  10. Lovely family and such cute kids.
I know you're not alone in feeling that let down after the holidays when everyone goes home and back to their routines. Can be a lonely time. Trust you're feeling better.

  12. These photos are great! Love that ya'll get together. I miss that with my family. My brother's children grew up spending Christmas at mama and daddy's. My sister's children came along later and are just now teenagers. My brother's children and mine never see each other anymore. Sad.
