Tiny Touches of Fall

I certainly haven't been on top of decorating for fall this year
Today, after the grands went home
I pulled out a few pieces for the front door area

Mostly, I just added some color
And a few small pieces

I had gotten the wreath up a couple weeks ago
I doubt I will be able to add anything else here
I  wish I had the magic touch
To make things beautiful
But I'll take what I can get this year

In the dining room
I pulled out my crazy crooked dough bowl
And added a few real white boos
As well as a few small corn cobs
Then filled the rest of the bowl with some faux pieces

You know
It's really okay by me
To just add a bit of color
A bit of the season
And be happy with that

I'm learning in this new life
Less stressing
Makes this girl Happy

Have a Super Happy Joy Filled Weekend!!

  1. Dear Cindy, I love all your touches and sometimes simple is the best. I also have a dough bowl from Hungary-was told it was an antique but then my daughter told me that they are just reproductions. I don't care, I love it; I've also got some things in mine-also fake, but that's o.k.
    Sending you big hugs tonight.

  2. I love your sweet touches and you are right- we don't have to cover every surface with decorations...although I might do that sometimes....lol What you have done is lovely.

Just wanted to mention to you- did you know that the background all around your blog is a repeated image of a frog and printing that says CLICK AND DISCOVER IMAGESHACK? Just thought you might not know that...because if you click it-it does not go anywhere. xo Diana

  4. Looks good to me. I like all the scarcrows together. I have been a bit down about the decorating. I did finally did some. I will add Halloween to it later. Sometimes less is best.

  5. Your less is blessed and lovely.

Having less stress in our lives certainly makes things easier. As the old saying goes, we need to 'let go and let God'. He cares for us deeply and He knows all of our hearts desires.

  6. Hi Cindy, your decor is lovely and just enough too. I have simplified this season as well by just using what I have adding a little fall here and there. Less is more this year and I am enjoying it.
    Your door wreath is gorgeous.

Thanks for stopping by and your kind comment and visit.
    Have a great weekend.

  9. Love your centerpiece with the pumpkins in the bread board. So festive. I've done so little here. I need to do my front door and porch. Maybe next week.

  10. I think your Fall touches are perfect, Cindy! If we all did everything just like everyone else, it would be way too boring! I think your dough bowl is so pretty filled with the real and the faux -- they make happy companions!
