A Day At The ED!!!

***Please pray for my friend Cindy at Army Brats and Me...she is having a total body bone scan done Friday...she is a beautiful young wife and mom of three who has been bravely battling cancer since last summer. Her husband has been transferred with the Army and the girls are with him while she stays home to finish her treatments and sale the house. They really need our prayers today!!!****

***New Update*** Cindy at Army Brats and Me reports that ALL scans are CLEAN - Praising God AGAIN for His constant faithfulness** Thank you for your prayers for Cindy and her famiy******

Oh how exciting my life has become. I spent 8 hours in the emergency department of our local hospital today - yippee!!

After experiencing some scary symptoms and a visit to the UC - Mark took me to the ED and I had a whole lota tests done! Fear of a heart attack caused the docs to do more tests than I can even explain.

As you can tell by my spending time blogging - I am home -no heart attack - Thank God - in fact my heart and arteries are working very well - thank you very much.

I also was looking at my labs on the way home and - at 50 - my labs sheet was one of the cleanest I've ever seen - not one number was out of the normal range - that is something to thank God about!!!

I do have to go to my PCP tomorrow and make an appointment with a cardiologist next week. My blood pressure is fluctuating up and down and I am having constant dizziness - Yuck!!

I absolutely would not allow my hubs to take any photos of me while in my pretty blue gown with tubes, wires and stuff stuck all over me but below are a few choice photos of the left-over evidence.

So, in attempting to find some joy in this, well I do get a night off from cleaning the medical office I usually clean.

Also, a friend from church emailed me Sunday and offered to bring dinner tonight - do you think GOD knew I was going to spend all day in the ED and neither my hubs or I were going to feel like fixing dinner. Thank you my friend for listening to God and bringing a fabulous dinner - WE LOVED IT~~~~~

Coveting your Prayers and...

Tonight I'm Considering being alive JOY!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Cindy, I don't know what area of town you live in but I used to work with Dr. Scott Robertson in Scottsdale. He's an excellent cardiologist, if you needed a recommendation. I'm glad you're OK but you should follow up on this. You've had your share of excitement lately.

  3. Glad that they didn't find anything. I do understand the constant dizziness as I live with it on a daily basis. OH that is awful. Praying that you get answers.

How wonderful that God supplied your need for a meal even before you knew you'd need it.

  7. From someone with personal experience, it sounds like an anxiety or panic attack. Even dizziness can be a symptom of that and considering all you're dealing with, it is possible that's what's happening but a cardiologist should be able to confirm it or rule out any other problems. Sometimes our bodies say "enough already!" even if our brains think we are coping well with stress.

I spent time praying for you and your family this morning in my quiet time even before I read your post. I'll continue to pray about these symptoms you're having.

  9. How scary! I'm so glad you are ok! Hopefully they can figure out your dizzy spells and get you back on your feet in no time! I battle vertigo. You might have them check that possiblity. It can be controlled with meds.

    Take care of yourself!!

  10. He's not called the Great Provider for no reason, huh? Decent bill of health, no work (cleaning) and dinner to top it.

Trusting Him to continue to provide as you seek additional doctor's appointments.

  11. Cindy, I had a nice little visit to the ER a few weeks ago as well. NO FUN AT ALL. I feel your pain and hope you start feeling better very soon. I'm a little jealous because I had only one little bracelet as memorabilia!

  15. Hi Cindy,
Well I've been catching up on your blog. I had to laugh at your pictures only because I too have had my arms look very similar too many times. I actually do have pictures of me in the ED from one of my visits, and my daughter handing the med tech the vials as he took my blood. She was fascinated hubs not so much.

Girl I will pray for your strength, health, and endurance. You continue to do exactly as your blog title says you are an inspiration of God's faithfulness.

I will also pray for your hubs, I'm well versed in the immunesupresents I've been on them for my illness for 8 years, though not to the amount your dear hubs has endured. But I know the effects on the body, and I have a slight understanding of trying to accept that the things you use to do are just not going to be anymore.

Praise God you have gotten good labs, please remember to rest and care for yourself. Praise God for your friend Cindy's test results too.

    Find your strengthen in Him

    Hugs,
    Carol

  16. Girl! First I read about my friend Susan getting bit by a coyote and now you in the ER....I get off the blogs for a couple of weeks and everything goes to pot! :)

Just kidding of course. I'm glad you are ok, but don't stop going to the doc til you get answers! I'm 30 minutes away should you need anything at all! A closet cleaned out perhaps? :)

    Love you, Lee
