My One Word

Happy Weekend Sweet Friends

I started this post on January 3, 2017
I believe I have already failed my Word

Accomplish is the word that has been
bombarding my thoughts for the past several weeks
So far, I have one project accomplished with
Many, Many more to go

It seems I Love to start projects but I am a
Procrastinator by nature
(Ouch)

This is the year, for numerous reasons,
I need to accomplish projects and set aside the
procrastination trait

For the first time since Mark's passing
(6 years)
I truly DO have goals and plans
Lists and desires
This is the Year to rejoice in today

The necklace I wear says: Embrace The Moment
The ring I wear says: Nothing is Impossible

With those reminders
It is My Year to Accomplish and move forward

I even went to church last weekend
For the first time in more than a year

Yes, it's a new day
A new year
A new attitude
And a new WORD

God is Able
Even in Me

Blessings~~~

  3. Bless your heart dear Cindy. I am a procrastinator also, bad habit.

I'm happy to hear this positive attitude in your post and know that Jesus is with you as you continue on in this journey. It does take awhile to grow through this grieving process, it's not just over in a short period of time, it takes time, and even then it won't be over until we are reunited and with our loved ones and Jesus for eternity.

But, we can begin as you have done, to rejoice and live in each moment we are blessed with.

Love, hugs & continued prayers for you ~ FlowerLady

  8. I am smiling to think we chose the same word, Cindy. I DO believe we are both going to ACCOMPLISH great things this year. God bless you as you move forward and get your project done. I think the biggest thing is getting STARTED--once I do that things just move along. xo Diana

  9. My husband passed 4 years ago and I am missing him more. Maybe it is being trapped from the 4th snow storm or not really ever having a chance to mourn before as so many changes had to happen after he died (could not keep our home). I am finding it difficult to follow through on things as well and have been going to a grief group.

  11. I was talking to another blogging friend the other day and we were discussing the fact that we had seen the word "accomplish" as a couple of people's words this year. I was wondering why that word hadn't even occurred to me but sure should have! I am a horrible procrastinator! I love that you have gotten to a place to accomplish what you have been putting off. God Bless you, Cindy! ♥♥♥

  13. I'm so happy to hear all of this "positiveness" from you, Cindy! I think your word is great, but I feel you should celebrate the one thing you did accomplish and not beat yourself up because you haven't accomplished more. One thing I've learned over this last year, is that I have to divide things up into small bite-size pieces....I cannot eat an elephant in one big bite. That was a real eye-opener for me, because I'm not patient with myself....everyone else, yes, me not so much.

So, my sweet friend, be kind to yourself and cut that elephant into itty-bitty pieces!

    Warm hugs,
    Carol

  16. Wonderful post.... the year is not over! None of us are perfect and the Lord is able to do that which He wants us to do, and even if we don't get everything done on our list, that's okay... it is about knowing that in HIM all things are well! Hugs to you dear friend :)
